June Stakeholder of the Month: Kayla Hanson

Kayla Hanson was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and moved to Calvert County when she was two years old. Shortly after, her brother Vance was born. She attended local public schools and graduated from Patuxent High School. Growing up, Kayla played on co-ed soccer and baseballs teams, and played on an all girl basketball team. She even played on the high school softball team. Kayla also took karate classes for about four years, and made it all the way to a brown belt with a black stripe. Unfortunately, she had to leave for college before she was able to test for her black belt.

She spent a year at Towson University, and then returned home to start working full time and began taking online classes. Kayla is currently working on her degree in Psychology. On top of working here, Kayla also works PRN as a Mental Health Associate at the Behavioral Health Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. When she’s not working, Kayla enjoys spending time at home with her family, which consists of her boyfriend, her cat Leo, and her german shepherd puppy Mia.

Kayla enjoys seeing all of the residents everyday and views them as family. She enjoys being able to brighten their days and give them something to look forward to every week. Kayla was elected stakeholder of the month during resident council. Please congratulate Kayla for being our council elected “June Stakeholder of the Month.”
