Chesapeake Shores October Resident of the Month is John Hancock

John HancockJohn Hancock was born on January 4th and grew up in Washington D.C. He is the oldest of nine children. As a young man, Mr. Hancock worked on a farm and learned how to operate tractors. He completed Oat Grove High School in 1948. Mr. Hancock worked for a meat packing company for 20 years and served in the U.S. Air Force for six years.

He loves to travel, and one of his favorite trips was being stationed in England for a year. He drove the Queen Mary and loved it. John then moved to West Moreland County in Virginia and married his wife. They spent 24 great years together. Mr. Hancock, though a very busy man, enjoys spending holidays with his family, working on various electronics, and listening to country western music.

Mr. Hancock has four daughters who visit him regularly and bring him cookies and sweets. John Hancock was elected Resident of the Month by his peers during Resident Council. Please congratulate him on being elected October Resident of the Month.
