February 2014 Stakeholder of the Month Helen Ford

Helen Ford was born at home on August 8th 1956 in Hollywood, Maryland. She has eight brothers and four sisters. All of her siblings but the youngest two were born at home. Her mother was a housewife while her father worked in construction. He is also a WWII veteran. Her family relocated to Lexington Park, and after High School she moved out on her own. She married Thomas Ford when she was 22 years old and has 3 children Daisy, Thomas, and Myron. She started working at this facility in 1983 when it was known as Amber House, later becoming Bayside, and now Chesapeake Shores. She worked for 15 years in Dietary, 4 years in Laundry and for the last 12 years she has worked in Housekeeping. She currently lives in Lexington Park with the company of her daughter and in her free time she enjoys catching a Bingo game, going to the slots and traveling. She loves spending time with family and friends and frequently visits with Mom and Dad at their home in Lexington Park.
