Resident of the Month: Edwin Hewlett (July 2013)

Edwin Hewlett was born to Raymond and Rosa Hewlett on July 10th, 1950. His family owned and operated Hewlett’s Grocery Store, located in Scotland, Maryland. His father was also a bus contractor. He has two siblings–David and Raymond. Edwin attended local schools, graduating from Great Mills High School in 1980. Growing up, he assisted his family with running the family store where he enjoyed playing pool and the juke box. In his free time, he would play baseball for the regional team and spent time drawing. After graduating, he worked at Patuxant River Naval Base as a Civil Service Worker. Edwin recently retired after 14 years of service. Edwin continues to enjoy all kinds of music, listening to WHUR 96.3 and watching television, expressing his interest in keeping up on the soaps.

Edwin Hewlett was elected as Resident of the Month by his peers here at Chesapeake Shores.
